All Ears On Anatolian Rock

All Ears On is a program series by Studio De Zolder in which music is approached as a carrier of cultural, historical, and emotional significance. The series invites participants to listen with full attention and to look beyond rhythm and melody.

Each edition focuses on a specific genre or musical movement and explores the social, political, and emotional layers embedded within it. Through collective listening and the sharing of stories, space is created for reflection, context, and conversation.

The first edition of All Ears On focused on Anatolian rock, a genre that emerged in Turkey in the 1960s from a fusion of traditional folk music with Western rock and psychedelic influences. The session offered insight into the origins of the genre and its significance within broader cultural and historical developments.

We chose to collaborate with the Kunstfabriek for this concept . Their audience and location seemed like a good match for this concept. This proved to be true, as the first edition of this concept was sold out.

In 2026, we will further experience and develop this collaboration.
