Stichting de Zolder is a Rotterdam-based cultural platform connecting emerging creatives and communities through art, music, and interdisciplinary experiences.
About us
Stichting De Zolder is an interdisciplinary platform in Rotterdam where art, music, and innovation come together. Founded in 2022, it began as an intimate attic space and has grown into a dynamic foundation within the city’s creative community.
With art as a unifying force, De Zolder invites creators and visitors from diverse backgrounds to explore, create, and connect. Our program includes exhibitions, workshops, listening sessions, and talks, with a focus on artistic development and building an inclusive community.
Through collaborations with institutions such as Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and Nieuwe Instituut, De Zolder has developed into a distinctive and growing platform within Rotterdam’s cultural landscape.
Our space serves as a meeting point for creativity and exchange, supporting emerging artists and fostering connections between art, culture, and community. We are building both an online and offline platform where everyone is welcome to discover, create, and grow together.

Mission
Stichting De Zolder supports emerging creatives by providing a platform for exhibitions, workshops, and events. Working across disciplines, from visual art and music to literature and digital art, we create space for experimentation, collaboration, and exchange. By bringing together people from diverse backgrounds, we foster an open and inclusive community where artists can develop their practice and connect with new audiences.
Vision
We envision a cultural landscape where access, diversity, and collaboration are the norm rather than the exception. De Zolder aims to contribute to this shift by building both an online and offline platform where artists can grow, share their work, and shape the future of the creative sector together.
Founders
Puck Peltenburg and Osas Aghaku are the co-founders of Stichting De Zolder—a Rotterdam-based platform where art, culture, and community come together. As both creative partners and life partners, they share a vision of building spaces that connect people through artistic expression.
Puck, with a background in Social Work, brings a strong focus on community building and supporting young people. Osas, who is originally from Nigeria, brings years of experience in the events world and currently works at Nieuwe Instituut, where he has developed a strong focus on audience engagement and creating meaningful cultural experiences.
Together, they founded De Zolder in 2022 as an intimate attic initiative, which has since grown into a dynamic platform. Their shared ambition is to further develop De Zolder into both an online and offline space where emerging creatives can connect, grow, and share their work with a wider audience.
